Sonic Youth Records:

psuedo-chaotic harmony

SYR1:Anagrama

1. Anagrama (9:31) 2. Improvision Ajoutée (2:52) 3. Tremens (3:19) 4. Meux: de Corrosion (6:53) The first of the series, and of the three so far my personal favorite. I can sit there and listen the the soothing melody of Tremens for hours or listen to Mieux: De Corrosion(Best: of Corrosion)for a quick wake-me-up.

SYR2:Slaapkamers Met Slagroom

1. Slaapkamers Met Slagroom (17:39) 2. Stil (7:25) 3. Herinneringen (3:26) The 2nd and of the three my least favorite. This album just seemed to me to be a few random chords thrown together seemingly toward nothing. Herinnerginen however is the first song of the series to have singing by Kim, or any other member for that matter.

SYR3:Invito Al Cielo

1.Invito Al Cielo (20:51) 2.Hungara Vivo (6:12) 3.Radio-Amatoroj (29:15) The newest of the series so far. The most organized so far. With Jim O'Rourke along for the trip it makes more sense then any of the others so far...which could be seen as a good or bad thing. If you were wondering "who the fuck is Jim O'Rourke?" well he has been associated with these bands: Gastr del Sol, Faust, Tony Conrad, John Fahey, Smog and Henry Kaiser...none of which I've ever heard of but if you can tell me anything about those projects please tell me. Thanks!

The Future of the SYR series

I talked to someone at Smells like Records and he said that the future of the SYR series is in doubt or at least is on the back burner due to the release of the new album on geffen and My So-Called records.
All of these albums were produced on Steve Shelly's label
